Poppy Boy is the quintessential linguist and takes his study of language arts very seriously. Poppy Boy knows that language is the gateway to all cultures. He spends his time reading, writing and thinking.

Poppy Boy especially likes to think about the power of words and their meaning. This baby thinks before he speaks and he is very careful with his words. Poppy Boy can also be taciturn from time to time and must rely on his sister, Poppy Girl to translate his communication to the larger world.

Poppy’s dream is to be an author and he deliberately likes to tote around a toy typewriter on wheels so that the thoughts that come to him can be translated to paper. Poppy sees the world as his primary stage and looks for influences in his writing. Poppy loves to read stories to the other babies and also likes to collaborate with other babies to put on dramatic productions and other projects.

Poppy Boy is very nice in his appearance and seems easy-going, though he is also very serious when he is composing his literary works. Poppy gets very excited when he is translating language or when he is conveying the power of the written and the spoken word to others.
